Coach Herman and the Houston Cougars Poised and Ready for Year 2 of H-Town Takeover
2015 was a year of firsts for the University of Houston football program. It was the first season with head coach Tom Herman, the first with 2016 Heisman hopeful Greg Ward as a full-time QB and it was their first American Conference Championship. After taking the college football world by storm in 2015, culminating with an incredible New Year’s Six bowl win over FSU, 2016 looks to complete it’s #HTownTakeover, and continue to solidify its electrifying ascent.
“Last year the lunch was filled with hope,” second year Head Coach Tom Herman said. “This year it is full of testimony and proof and hope towards the next season.”
After beating FSU in the Peach Bowl, finishing 8th in country, the Cougars followed it up with an exceptional signing day. With a potential to go undefeated this year, all eyes are on Houston to be the first Group of Five school to crack the College Football Playoff, triggering Herman to say “playing for the national championship is not out of the realm of possibilities.”
We’ll have a video crew and videographers in Houston this summer producing the open video with the Houston Cougars football team, which will be aired inside TDECU Stadium before every 2016 home game.
